The 7TP twin-turret version was the first variant of the Polish 7TP tank, developed in the 1930s on the basis of the British Vickers 6-Ton. It was equipped with two turrets, each mounting a 7.92 mm machine gun, which made it a vehicle designed primarily for infantry support rather than tank combat. The vehicle weighed about 9 tons and was powered by a Saurer diesel engine.

The twin-turret layout quickly proved outdated and ineffective in combat, which is why most of the produced units were later converted into the newer single-turret version armed with a 37 mm gun. Nevertheless, the twin-turret version retained its significance as a transitional stage in the development of Polish armored forces and as an example of adapting foreign designs to domestic needs.
